The customer reached out to us after discovering significant water damage around their roof line. The plywood decking beneath a pipe boot and the underlying plywood along the fascia had rotted, causing the gutter and drip edge to detach from the roof. Seeking to stop further structural decay and water intrusion, they requested a complete repair to restore and protect their roof edge.
To resolve the issue, we removed the damaged pipe boot, surrounding shingles, and detached gutter to expose the damaged wood structure. We replaced the rotted plywood decking beneath the pipe boot and along the fascia, then applied Ice & Water Shield over the new decking for maximum moisture protection. Next, we installed starter shingles, a new drip edge, and a new pipe boot, carefully reshingling the section and recaulking all pipe boots and ridge caps. Finally, we reinstalled the fascia, mounted 30 linear feet of new 6″ white K-style gutters with Atlas stainless steel gutter guards, and completed a full site cleanup with debris disposal.
